This is an Organization set up by the SDC and the UTEP Greek Community. The goals of our organization is to work closely as a UTEP Greek Community and accomplish what we as a community feel are the needs of our chapters. Each Fraternity/Sorority have a Delegate that represents their respected Organization. We have committees that are set up in order to accomplish the goals we have set out to pursue.
The Committees that the Greek Delegates have decided are necessary:
1. Public Relations: Expected to promote the Greek community in a positive light utilizing written and electronic media, promotional and campus events. They should work to create networks between Greek Life and Faculty, Staff, Students and the El Paso Community.
2. Social: In charge of creating social events in which all Greek organizations will be able to network and interact together to benefit the Greek, UTEP and/or the El Paso community.
3. Greek Lawn: Responsible for presenting potential items for donation to UTEP and raise the necessary funds. To work closely with the SDC, SGA and all other departments in charge of the UTEP re-development program.
4. Recruitment: Expected to work closely with SDC, NSO and all other departments or organizations to help promote Greek Life. Also, to develop a “Go Greek” campaign to recruit new members to the UTEP Greek Community.
5. Greek Ticket: To shadow current SGA elected officials and to develop an all Greek SGA ticket for Fall 2010. This includes a party name, purpose and any other aspects of the Greek Party Ticket.
6. Greek Referendum: In charge of writing and following the process set by the University to come up with a Referendum to build a Student Organizations building to accommodate all the needs of Student organization on the UTEP Campus.
7. Greek Housing: In charge of working closely with SGA and all other departments in order to get Greek Housing allowed on the UTEP Campus.
