FITNESS PROGRAMS DESCRIPTION

 


PILATES                                                   

Pilates is a system of controlled exercises that engage the mind and conditions the total body. Pilates works several muscle groups simultaneously through, continuous motion with special emphasis on the core. The focus in Pilates is on quality of movement rather than quantity, which leaves one feeling invigorated rather than exhausted after a session. So If you want to tone, gain strength, flexibility and relieve stress… this class is for you.

 

LATIN SPICE                                          

Spice up your workout! This class gets your heart beating to the “hottest” moves in Latin Dance!

 

TOTAL BODY WORKOUT                 

A total body workout to improve both muscular strength & endurance! A cardio workout alternating kickboxing, jumping rope & steps. To include resistance exercises are performed using dumbbells, resistance tubing, bands and body bars.

 

YOGA                                                           

Is a holistic system that brings into unison the body, mind and the spirit. Ultimately, it is well-being, peace and bliss.

 

AQUA-AEROBICS                                 

Is an excellent method of exercise which improves the fitness of your heart and lungs, tones the body and reduces fat. Many people prefer to exercise in water because it supports some of your body weight, making it easier on the joints such as knees and ankles. Non-swimmers can participate because the exercises are done in shallow water.

 

KARDIO KICKBOXING                      

Kardio-Kickboxing is a class that combines boxing and martial arts movements of the upper and lower body muscles, a great cardiovascular training and intense kickboxing workout. It is a form of self-defense. It requires a high level of fitness both mentally and physically. Kickboxing is a great workout for your legs, the hips and thighs, as well as the arms and abdominals. Kickboxing improves fitness, flexibility and stamina- if you want to pump up the volume, this class is for you.

 

MORNING CONDITIONING             

Enjoy a class that incorporates cardio with strength training while working on the core muscles. This workout program is a combination of cardio and weight training.

 

STEP-N-ABS                                         

A perfect workout for those who want the cardiovascular benefits of step. The stepping movement helps tone the gluteus maximums and legs. Step isn’t just effective below the waist. With coordinating arm movements, the upper body is toned, too. Other benefits you’ll notice from this low-impact exercise are increased stamina, and better posture, coordination and balance.  This class also focuses on the lower body and abdominals.

 

BODY SCULPTING                             

This class is devoted to toning and strengthening the body. A strong, healthy body begins with a strong, healthy core. Using equipment such as weights, bands, and bars. This class tightens the muscles, and takes the body to its ultimate toning potential. To perk up the parts of exercise that weight and cardiovascular training might miss, you will slim hips, define abdominals, legs, oblique and shoulders.

 

BELLY DANCE                                    

Most of the basic steps and techniques used in belly dance are circular motions isolated in one part of the body: for example, a circle parallel to the floor isolated in the hips or shoulders. Accents using “pop and lock” where a dancer either shimmies or makes a striking motion in her shoulders or hips are common, as are feats or flexibility.
