“I have an interview coming up and I need help”

ü  Attend the Mastering the Interview workshop as an orientation to get helpful tips and introductory information on how to ace your interview.

 

→     Log-in to your Job Mine account, click the Career Event tab, search for the Mastering the Interview workshop to see upcoming presentations.

→     Register for a Mastering the Interview workshop that fits into your schedule.

 

“I think I need help practicing my answers”

ü  Set an appointment with a Peer Career Advisor  from your respective college for a one-on-one Coaching Session.

 

→     Email careers@utep.edu with your name, student ID, and availability to inquire about scheduling an appointment.

→     Complete the required exercises before your fist coaching session and send us a copy of your resume, cover letter and job description.

→     Get the hands-on practice you need to successfully answer tough interview questions.

→     Get constructive feedback on how you can improve your answers and performance.

 

“I feel confident about my answers and interview skills,

but I’d like to see how I would do in a practice interview”

ü  Sign-up to do a Mock Interview with peer career advisors or professional staff at the Career Center

 

→     Mock interviews are facilitated by your Peer Career Advisors and are designed to replicate the type of interview that you may expect from a recruiter.

→     Put your interview skills and abilities to the test.

→     Receive constructive feedback on your interview.

→     Scheduling a mock interview is an excellent way to develop and enhance your interviewing skills. Practice is the key to success!
