• Be a Mexican citizen or permanent resident
• Meet UTEP admission requirements
• Prove that you can afford in-state cost of attendance, but cannot afford out-of-state cost of attendance
• Turn in a complete PASE application

How to Apply 
 

Submit an Admission application (Graduate School or Undergraduate Admission) along with all the required documentation (transcripts, etc.) Attend a PASE orientation session Fill out both the PASE and CFR form.  Fill out one application per student Bring or mail application and original supporting financial documents to our office  The application MUST have a notary seal (the notary can be from the U.S. or Mexico) NEW PASE APPLICATION CONFIRMATION OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES PASE APPLICANTS    Summer applicants may continue to use current application that is         available at the office or complete the new one.     Fall applicants are highly recommended to attend to an information      session due to changes in the application and process.    Next Steps The processing time for PASE applications is approximately 2 weeks. While your PASE application is in process:   ·         Take the TOEFL or PAA admission exam AFTER you have been approved for PASE:   Take the placement exams (if applicable) Accuplacer and/or SLEP Attend New Student Orientation. For more information, please call 915.747.6752 Attend the International New Student Orientation Request your Student Visa at the appropriate US Consulate or US Embassy.   To Renew PASE:   If you are eligible to renew PASE, every April 1st log in to GOLDMINE check on PERSONAL INFORMATION tab and answer the PASE RECERTIFICATION SURVEY. You will receive a notification to your miner email within 48 hours.  You are NOT eligible to renew if you meet the following conditions:     -Academic suspension     -Major change in your finances for greater than 10%       PASE RECERTIFICATION 2010-2011 Available from April 1, 2010 through Census Day Fall 2010
