To communicate with your faculty, classmates, friends, and everyone else at UTEP,
activate your UTEP email account.

UTEP email is used to send you UTEP notices about registration,
tuition payments due, financial aid, and activities on campus.

Faculty will use your preferred email to send you assignment updates,
canceled class notices, and other course information.

Your classmates will use this email to set up study groups, ask class questions,
and send you notes you miss when you miss a class.

This is the third step in connecting to UTEP.
So don't wait - start receiving UTEP email today!

Activate Your Email:

UTEP's official student email system is Microsoft LiveMail using your UTEP user ID. Your account will be your userID@miners.utep.edu.

When logged in to MyUTEP, click on the LiveMail link and enter your UTEP account username and password to complete the setup for your LiveMail account and to start using all the LiveMail features.

Optional:

If you have an email account where you would prefer to receive your UTEP email, you can choose to do so.

Go to the Home tab in MyUTEP, click on the Update Preferred Email link, and enter your preferred email address. Your UTEP email will then go to the email address you entered. Be sure to keep this address updated.
