On-Campus Housing

Students who wish to stay on-campus reside at a housing complex known as Miner Village. However, you must register online and create an account to apply for housing. Please do this early as housing fills quickly.

Miner Village's 12 apartment-style residence halls, with 218 apartments and a capacity for 436 students, offers several floor plans, from cozy efficiencies to two- and four-bedroom units. There's also Summit Hall, the Miner Village Community Building, which houses study rooms, a recreation area, private mailboxes and administrative offices. The residence halls in Miner Village are all co-educational. Miner Village provides continuous stay for three, nine, and twelve months. The three month contracts are for Summer only and are available on limited basis. For more information on layout, cost, and contract periods visit Miner Village's website or call (915) 747-5352.

Apartments

The apartments on campus have several features. All the units at Miner Village are fully furnished with full kitchens, private bathrooms, carpeting and tile, and independently controlled refrigerated air. The units count with their own personal telephone line, with unlimited local calls at least two high-speed internet connections, and basic cable connections. The housing complex also comes with four on-site laundry locations.

Off-Campus Housing

There are many apartments located within walking distance of UTEP, however it is not customary for them to be furnished. You may choose to search for housing when you arrive.

Off-campus housing advertisements can be found in El Paso's local newspaper, El Paso Times, and other local newspapers. Advertisement for housing can also be found in UTEP's newspaper, The Prospector. El Paso Times keeps a listing of the classifieds, found in its pages, on their website. This information is provided as a service only. It does not represent University-approved nor University-inspected housing.
