Ø       Request verification of a student’s eligibility for any requested accommodation.  Such verification will be in the form of a letter written by DSSO given to the student.

Ø       Expect the student to initiate accommodation request.

Ø       Identify and establish essential functions, abilities, skills, and knowledge of their courses and evaluate students on this basis.  Students with disabilities need to meet the same course expectations as their peers without disabilities with or without an accommodation.

Ø       Determine location where student will receive an accommodation during an exam/quiz. 

Ø       If professor needs to use proctoring services from DSSO to administer exam/quiz, then expect DSSO to administer it in a secure and monitored environment.
