Student are eligible for this service if he/she has a substantial limitation in:

·         Writing/typing ability

·         Ability to process information quickly (more than one standard deviation from the mean)

·         Visual acuity (less than 20/100 in both eyes)

·         Ability to concentrate and focus

·         Other conditions where DSSO determines accommodation is reasonable and appropriate

Students are assigned time-and-a-half or double-time, with double-time being the maximum. Requests for additional time beyond that assigned must be reviewed and approved by Director of DSSO one week prior to scheduled exam.
