Mission Statement
The mission of our UTEP Student Support Services Program (SSSP) is to provide under-represented, low-income, first-generation college students and students with diabilities who have academic need with an equal opportunity to achieve a college education. |

Goals
Our goal is to ensure that these students stay in college and graduate. We do this by providing holistic academic and personal support services that address their significant needs which might otherwise prevent their success. |

| Purpose
The purpose of TRIO
Student Support Services Program (SSSP)is to increase the college
retention and graduation rates of low-income, first generation college
students and students with disabilities, and to facilitate their
transition from one level of post-secondary education to the next.
Student Support Services staff members also work to foster an
institutional climate supportive of these students. |
