Disabled Student Services Minimize    

Accommodations are assigned according to course work and barriers experienced while in attendance at the university such as:

  

Ö       Reading textbooks, handouts, lecture notes

 

Ö       Writing/copying lecture notes

 

Ö       Listening to/hearing lecture

 

Ö       Easily distracted by noise

 

Ö       Seeing notes on board, etc.

 

Ö       Entering buildings/classrooms

 

Ö       Environmental obstacles such as hills, long distances between classrooms, etc.

 

Ö       Understanding and keeping up with class material

 

 

   
Accomodations and Services Are Not Retroactive    

Student begin to receive services once he/she has completed intake interview with Director of DSSO to determine eligibility for accommodations. 

 

   
Pending Receipt of Documentation    

DSSO reserves the right to deny services and/or accommodations.

However at DSSO’s discretion, limited services can be considered for one semester while documentation is being submitted to department.
