Professional Dress Code. Dress for Success

The University Career Center aims to assist students in their professional development and job search process. In doing so, the Career Center is responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of career programs and services at UTEP. We provide students with the following services & programs:
Job Mine is a database where part-time & full-time, co-op & internships, professional positions, as well as work-study & volunteer opportunities are listed.
Mining Majors directs students to internship opportunities, student and professional organizations, online resources, related job sites, and occupations targeted to each major.
Career Advising
Peer Career Advisors (PCA's) are the face of the Career Center. Our newest program allows our PCAs to interact with fellow students on career related material at the individual colleges. Our goal is to reach out to students by holding workshops, résumé reviews, and classroom presentations at the colleges so we can serve a larger scale of UTEP students.

Career Fairs are held throughout the year with the goal of presenting diverse career options to UTEP students. These fairs are not limited to finding a job, but may be used as a tool to establish networks with agency and company representatives.
Mock Interview Program
Online Career Resources are available to assist you in your career
Workshops are conducted on a regular basis. Register for one of our workshops to learn more about important aspects of your career exploration.
Résumé Reviews can be done on a walk-in basis. Come by our Center and have your résumé reviewed by our center staff or designated Peer Career Advisor (PCA).
Sample Documents are available for quick download to your computer! These documents include sample résumé, cover letters, refrence sheets, as well as sample interview question and how to research an employer.
