PHYSICAL EDUCATION FACILITY USER PRIORITY LIST
PREFACE
The University of Texas at El Paso conducts programs in Intercollegiate Athletics, Physical Education, Recreational Sports, Student Activities, and Continuing Education.
The Administration of the university has delegated the responsibility to the Office of Physical Education and Facilities Management (OPEFM) for coordinating the scheduling and management of all recreational facilities on campus under the following priority list.

*Current breakdowns have had the Kinesiology Department responsible for facility use from 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Recreational Sports Department is responsible from 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. daily, and all open hours on the weekend. Under OPEFM direction, the user hours will remain as priority hours for those programs. Flexibility for evening classes and daytime Recreational Sports will be inherent.
RESERVATION DEADLINES
In order to maintain an effective system of priority usage each unit/department will have the responsibility of making reservations in advance, the following deadlines will apply to all units/department. After the various deadlines have been met, the facilities will then be reserved on a first come first serve basis.
Academics:
Spring: Due between September 16-30
Summer: Due between February 24- March 10
Fall: Due between April 15- 30
Recreational Sports Program:
Spring: Due between October 1- 15
Summer: Due between March 11- 25
Fall: Due between May 1- 15
Continuing Education & Intercollegiate Athletics:
Spring: Due between October 21- 31
Summer: Due between March 26- April 8
Fall: Due between May 16- 30
Notes: Summer camps sponsored by Continuing Education will require initial approval from the Kinesiology Department before finalizing facility reservations through the Office of Physical Education Facilities Management. External Relations Department requests will be considered only if they do not interfere with any of the programs already mentioned on the facility user priority list.
