Mission
    To provide students with practical experience that will enhance and compliment their classroom learning.  This Program will better prepare students for their futures by engaging them in valuable experiences  that will not only put classroom theory into practice, but challenge them to develop the professional skills and knowledge needed to navigate their careers upon graduation from the University.

Academic Credit
1. Students receive a transcript notation of a non-credit course.
2. This notation maintains their full-time student status. 
3. At the discretion of the departments’ academic advisors, students may receive academic credit for their work experiences.

Minimum Requirments
Minimum G.P.A.
Undergraduate Students 2.0
Graduate Students 3.0

Classification
Students must be currently enrolled and/or fully admitted to The University of Texas at El Paso.

They must be in good standing and should have completed at least two semesters of course work, one of which has been completed on the UTEP campus.

International Students are encouraged to participate in the UTEP Co-op & Internship Program.  You will need to meet the requirements noted above as well as meet some additional requirements recommended by the Office of International Programs.  The OIP will give you additional details on their process.  Feel free to click here for more information.
